Newsletters and Reminders
Hello from Jeanette!
By Jeanette | Feb 28, 2021

For all new families—my name is Jeanette Mann and I work at Callington Primary School as the PCW (Pastoral Care Worker). I am at the school on Mondays (8:30 am - 12 noon) and on Wednesdays 8:30am - 4:00 pm. On both Monday and Wednesday mornings I run Breakfast Club with the assistance of parents. Breakfast Club is from 8:30-8:45am (to allow children time to be ready for class). I also have a drop in room (DDI) open on Wednesday lunchtimes where children can join in with games and craft activities. My other time is spent in the classrooms teaching Wellbeing Classroom lessons or assisting the class teachers. At Easter and Christmas I organise a presentation for Christian Options. You are welcome to come and talk with me if you would like a listening ear or support. I am looking forward to spending time with the children and getting to know Parents/Carers. Each newsletter I will have a short article that relates to student wellbeing.

Driving slowly around the school

Providing a safe environment for all students is our primary concern. This extends to arriving and departing from school. We understand life gets busy with families and timelines, however we ask for everyone's cooperation with driving slowly around the school at all times. We will be looking at options to raise the visibility of the school/kindergarten for visiting traffic and liaising with Council around signage. Thank you for your cooperation with ensuring the safety of our young people.
