At Callington Primary school we support all students to be their best selves. We intentionally provide an environment that promotes predictability, routine, consistency and calmness so students are ready to learn and do their best.

Specific literacy and numeracy support (in class or through intervention), is provided across the school particularly in the early years, to cement and embed foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Wellbeing is a strong feature of the culture at our school, so students are supported to demonstrate positive behaviours through weekly values, wellbeing and Play Is The Way lessons in conjunction with implementation of the Berry Street Education Model across the school.

For those students that required extra support academically, behaviourally and/or socially/emotionally, support is available with Student Support Officers (SSOs) on a needs basis, through small group intervention and in some cases applications for 1:1 funding may be sort.
